There are several different types of CBD.
ISOLATE – CBD Isolate is a powder that contains 99% CBD. CO2 extraction removes all of the active compounds from the Hemp plant. Our Alleviate Kit uses 0% THC certified isolate.
BROAD SPECTRUM – Broad Spectrum CBD usually does not contain THC but it does contain other parts of the Hemp plant, including Terpines.
FULL SPECTRUM – Full Spectrum CBD may contain up to 0.3% THC and include all the parts of the Hemp plant included in Broad Spectrum CBD.
CBG – CBG derived from hemp is legal under the Controlled Substances Act. Cannabigerol is the decarboxylated form of cannabigerolic acid, the parent molecule from which other cannabinoids are synthesized.

CBD from Hemp CAN IT GET YOU HIGH?
NO! Hemp and Marijuana are from the same family, but they are two different plants.
Hemp has low levels of “THC” but high levels of “CBD” and is grown and manufactured for rope, canvas, paper, clothing, and materials. The leaves and seeds are extremely nourishing, and the oils are used for pain relief and management.
All of our CBD products are produced using CBD from Hemp.
Marijuana has high levels of “THC” and low levels of “CBD” and the flower buds from this plant are used for smoking and/or oils are used for vaping to achieve psychoactive effects or pain management. We DO NOT sell any products made with Marijuana.

little background on Sherry…
Sherry grew up in a happy home with two parents that loved her and her brother John dearly. As a military family they moved often. In the beginning she didn’t necessarily appreciate the fact of living in several states and two foreign countries.
When her father retired from the Air Force in 1987, they settled in Florida. Both parents worked at the space center on the Space Shuttle program for United Space Alliance.
Fast forward…
Sherry decided to embrace her Army life and joined the military. With her background in electronics during her service, she continued in her parent’s footsteps and went into the field of launching rockets at Cape Canaveral for the United Launch Alliance.
After an illustrious 30-year career she will be retiring in 2021 to focus on Grass Root Essentials growth and more importantly her passion of developing handmade, all-natural products that help people.
When did Sherry start Grass Root Essentials??
She started the company in 2018 after developing a passion and skills for formulating products in 2017 due to a family illness that hit very close to home.
Now the ever important WHY?
Her mother had rheumatoid arthritis and was in constant pain. Her mother’s medication was making her very ill & nauseous. Sherry began researching other options to help her mother that were all natural to help her feel better without making her feel sick.
In her quest she discovered Cannabidiol (CBD). After extensive and thorough research, it was clear that CBD would have helped her mother with her pain and anxiety. Sadly, Sherry was too late to help her mother because she passed away before she could help her.
She continued with her research hoping to help others, but what she found was astonishing!
The TRUTH!
The cost of the CBD products that could have helped her mother were through the roof. This was the real kick in the pants she needed to start Grass Root Essentials.
There was no need for this amazing and all-natural compound to be so expensive. The people that need CBD with its wonderful healing properties for inflammation, nausea and pain relief should not have to pay through the nose for it!
The New Mission…
Produce CBD products that almost anyone can afford. Just because you are suffering doesn’t mean you should have to pay an exorbitant price for relief.
Sadly, she was not fast enough to help her mother with her suffering and pain. She passed away before she had a solution.
However, this lit the fire and got the ball rolling into more products. Not only did she create a line of fabulous products with CBD, she also found joy in tinkering & formulating. Next up there were artisan soap blends & scents, bath bombs, lotions, beauty creams and shaving products for men…you should just see her workshop. (Although we won’t show you because it is her sacred space to create. We don’t want to give away all of the secrets 😉
Bottom Line…it is all about caring!
Sherry loves to help people. After being raised as an Airforce brat, serving her country in the Army and her dedication to space exploration for over 30 years, now she can focus on her passion – create products that help everyone feel better inside and out.
